We are delighted to have you visit our website and introduce you to our practice. We are focused on our patient. We specialize in craniofacial surgery for children and adults with either congenital or acquired facial and skull disorders.
When facial appearance is different than "normal" it is call a "facial difference". Some facial differences are present at birth or even detected on ultrasound during pregnancy; these are called "congenital". While congenital disorders are typically repaired in infancy, childhood or adolescence, some adults have not had surgery or wish to have improvement on their previous surgery. A frequent question is whether a proposed surgery is "reconstructive" or "cosmetic". We believe the quality of reconstructive surgery is judged by the cosmetic outcome. Because of this relationship, we believe that all of our patients benefit from our experience in reconstructive and cosmetic craniofacial surgery.
For complex cases, Dr. Staffenberg's interdisciplinary team meets together at the renowned Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center. Immediately after this meeting, Dr. Staffenberg sits down privately to review findings and recommendations with patients and their families. Our team is experienced in repairing a wide variety of disorders of the face, jaws and skull, whether congenital or acquired. Your experience begins with a face-to-face consultation in either our office in Manhattan or in White Plains (in Westchester County).
